coreFORCE - Orders: How to accept and process donations on checkout.

You can let customers choose from different designations to donate to when they checkout.

You can have any number of designations and each one needs to be active, not set for internal use and must be included in a designation group called

"PRODUCT_ORDER".

Set up the Designation Group



Go to Donor Management > Designation > Designation Groups. Click Add.

The Code should be set to "Product_Order".

Click Save.


Set up the Designation Type



Go to Donor Management > Designation > Designation Types. Click Add.

The Code and Description can be anything. The Designation Type is a way to group designations together.

Choose the Payment Type. To accept credit/debit card payments, choose "Direct Debit".

Choose the Merchant Account to use in processing the donations. If none is selected, the system will use the default Merchant Account.

Click Save.
 


Set up the Designations



Go to Donor Management > Designation > Designations. Click Add.

The Designation Code and Description can be anything. You can add a Public Description to further describe where the donations would be used.

Choose the Designation Type.

Choose the Designation Group, "Product Order". All designations that you want to show on the Shopping Cart should be added to this designation group.

Enable the option, "Make public".



Click Save.

Set up the Donation Fragments



Create a fragment that will add a text to display at the top of the donation section in the shopping cart checkout process.

Go to Website > Fragments. Click Add.

The Fragment Code should be set to "retail_store_donation".

A sample text to add to the donation:



Create a fragment that will add a text to display at the bottom of the Donation section of the Shopping Cart. The default is to allow the order to be rounded up in 1, 5 and 10 increments.

Go to Website > Fragments. Click Add.

The Fragment Code should be set to "retail_store_round_up".

The default value is set to:
