coreFORCE - Catalog: Products Missing

coreFORCE Advanced and Enterprise Only

When you know a distributor has something in stock but can’t find it on your site the most likely scenario is that it came in as a NOUPC from the distributor.

To resolve this you need to find and merge the NOUPC duplicate product with the correct product.

Go to Products > Products > Merge products

For the NOUPC product search by distributor product code and or SKU to find it (use your keyboard to navigate the drop down).  Then use the correct item UPC to search and select the product, again using your arrow and enter keys to navigate the drop down.

Once you have confirmed that the items selected are duplicates to merge click the merge button to combine the records.

This often happens because distributors add products to their feed before they have the UPC.  If they do that for a day or even a few hours, coreFORCE may  add it as a NOUPC product.

When the distributor fixes the UPC, if a product from another distributor with that UPC already exists, coreFORCE will not merge the products automatically because the risk of doing an incorrect merge is too great.  Instead, we add it to the Potential Product Duplicates list, this can be found in Products > Products > Process Potential Duplicates.

To stay on top of this it is good practice to routinely check for potential duplicates and process them.

The process for merging duplicates in Products > Products > Process Potential Duplicates is fairly simple.  Select any product from the list and it will show you the item and it's potential duplicate.  You can then choose to merge the items at the top with the Merge button.
