coreFORCE Advanced- Contacts: Creating a Membership User Type for Benefits'




In this guide, we will cover how to create a user type linked to a subscription. The purpose of this user type is to enable the establishment of price rules and discounts based on the user's subscription. When a subscription expires, the associated user type will automatically be removed, ensuring the customer no longer has access to the benefits tied to the plan.

1. Click on Contacts




In your coreFORCE backend, locate and select the Contacts menu to begin the process of creating a user type tied to a subscription.

2. Click on Users




Under the Orders menu, find and select the Users submenu to proceed with configuring the user type.

3. Click on Types




Under the Users submenu, find and select the Types menu option. This is where you will configure and manage user types.

4. Click on ADD




On the User Type screen, click the Add button located in the top right-hand corner to create a new user type.

5. User Type Code




In the User Type Code field, provide a clear and identifiable name for the user type. For example, if you're setting up a user type for a Commander Membership, use a name like Commander Membership User to maintain clarity and consistency.

6. Description




In the Description field, provide a concise and identifiable name for the user type. For example, if you're setting up a user type for the Commander Membership, use a description like Commander Membership User to align with the user type code and ensure clarity.

7. Subscription Drop Down Box




In the Subscription dropdown box, select the corresponding subscription type that this user type will belong to. For instance, if you are setting up the Commander Membership User, choose the "Commander Membership" subscription. This ensures that whenever a customer purchases this membership, the user type is automatically assigned to their account.

8. Click on SAVE




Once you’ve configured the user type and linked it to the appropriate subscription, click Save to finalize your changes.
