coreSTORE - Work Orders: Out of House Repair Statuses
This document outlines the process for creating work order statuses that allow you to ship items back to the manufacturer or vendor for repair. We will detail the steps involved in setting up these statuses. A separate document will cover the workflow for using these statuses, ensuring you have a comprehensive understanding of the entire process.

Customize Repair Statuses:
To create custom repair statuses in coreSTORE, navigate to Work Orders > Statuses. This lets you tailor your system to precisely reflect the different stages of your repair process, in this case creating off site repairs.
Click on Add Status
Add "Out for Repair" Status:
In the Work Orders > Statuses menu click "Add Status" (in the top right corner). This lets you create a new custom status specifically for items "Out for Repair," enhancing your repair order tracking.

Naming Your New Status: "Out for Repair"
Within the Work Orders > Statuses menu, you clicked "Add Status" to create a new custom status. Now, simply enter "Out for Repair" as both the name and description. This clearly indicates that an item is being sent out for repairs, keeping your workflow organized and your team informed.
Check Send To Supplier
"Send to Supplier" for "Out for Repair" Status:
When creating your "Out for Repair" status (Work Orders > Statuses > Add Status), ensure the "Send to Supplier" checkbox is selected. This activates a crucial feature:
Supplier Selection on Status Change: When you switch a work order to "Out for Repair," coreSTORE will prompt you to select the specific supplier handling the repair. This ensures clear communication and accountability throughout the repair process.

Save Your "Out for Repair" Status
After configuring your "Out for Repair" status (name, description, "Send to Supplier" checked), click "Save". This finalizes the creation of your new custom repair status within coreSTORE, ready to be used for tracking items sent out for repairs.

Adding "Received Repair" Status
Once your "Out for Repair" status is set up, navigate back to Work Orders > Statuses and click "Add Status" again. This time, you can create a new custom status to track the return of repaired items.

Following up on your, this time, create a new status for receiving repaired items back into the shop.
Check Receive From Supplier
Receive From Supplier: Important Checkbox (Name May Vary)
When creating the "Received Repaired Item" status (Work Orders > Statuses > Add Status), look for a checkbox (the name might differ from "Received from Supplier") that indicates the item's return from the vendor. Selecting this checkbox is crucial to mark the completion of the repair cycle within coreSTORE.
