coreSTORE - Troubleshooting: Missing Information Error - "Modify Bound Book Record"
If you are receiving this error, this is usually a result of trying to bring in or send out a transfer, or receiving in a used gun in a "gun buy" from a customer. This article will explain why you received this error and how to resolve it.
"Modify bound book record" error means the acquisition is missing a field. This sometimes happens when the old data mixed FFLs and individuals together. So to fix, you would need to go into the Bound Book record and make sure the required data is there.
Let's say the bound book record is showing that the firearm was from a company, when it was actually received from an individual. In this case, because there was no FFL number, it marked the record "Yes" to being an individual. A firearm received from an individual needs a first and last name, so to fix this, you need to (1) take the individual's name from the Company Name field, and (2) enter the individual's name into the name fields.
