coreSTORE - Troubleshooting: Cash Drawer Printer Settings are Grayed Out On Windows
Cash drawers are always triggered by the printer, not the computer. In order to open your cash drawer upon the printing of a receipt, you will need to set the timing for the cash drawer.
In Windows, the option to set the timing will sometimes be grayed out. This is an indication that you need to log in with admin credentials.
Go to Printers
Select Printer Properties
In the "General" tab you will need to find and click “Change Properties", in the bottom left corner. At this point, you will need to enter your computer's admin credentials.
After you have entered your computer's admin credentials, you will be able to navigate back to the other tab and you will now be able to select a timing option.
