Sales editing restrictions with Shogo integration

We’ve updated our Shogo integration to improve data syncing and protect accounting accuracy. This update includes new restrictions on editing completed sales when Shogo is enabled.

What changed

  • Completed sales can no longer be edited.

If you try to edit a sale, you’ll see this error message:

“Sales cannot be edited when Shogo accounting integration is enabled.”

  • The Void/Delete button is disabled.

Next to the button, you’ll see an information icon.

Clicking the icon opens a modal titled Void/Delete function disabled, which explains:

  • This function is disabled when Shogo is active.
  • To cancel or return a sale, you must process a return transaction.
  • Steps: Go to the sale receipt and select Create Return to properly process refunds and returned items.

How to handle sale changes

When Shogo is enabled, use these alternatives instead of editing:

  • Returns: Go to the sale receipt and select Create Return.
  • Corrections: Create a new sale with the correct details.
  • Cancellations: Process the sale as a return transaction.

Why these restrictions exist

Shogo integration is automatically enabled when their services connect with our new API endpoint. These restrictions:

  • Keep sales data in sync with Shogo’s accounting system
  • Prevent reconciliation errors
  • Ensure reports remain accurate
