coreSTORE - Sales: Scan a Driver s License
Easily scan a driver's license in coreSTORE to quickly capture and store customer information. This user-friendly feature helps streamline your data entry process, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
NOTE: There are 2 ways of scanning and adding a Driver's license
- From the Sales Screen
- Customer Profile
- Click on Sales
- Click on New Sale
- Click on Scan License
- Scan the Driver's License
NOTE: Make sure to cover the top narrow barcode and only scan the 2D wide barcode
The system will scan the "raw data" from the license
- Click on OK
When you scan a customer's driver's license for the first time, the system will prompt you to add a new customer record. If the customer's record is already in the system, it will simply pull up the existing customer record and add it to the sales screen.
- If it's a new record, the system will take you to the Customer Profile and auto-fill all the information
- In the ID tab, you can view the driver's license information such as the license number and expiration date.
- Click on Save
- In the Customer Module, Click on New Customer
- Click on Id Tab
- Click on Scan License and then follow the Steps 4 & 5, and DONE!
