coreSTORE - Reporting: Identifying Worse Selling Inventory
In this guide, we will cover how to identify your worst-selling inventory in coreSTORE and explore the available filtering criteria.
1. Click on Reports
Navigate to the Reports menu option on the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click on Items
Next, navigate to the Items menu in your Reporting section to select the appropriate inventory report for worse-selling items.
3. Click on Worse Selling Items
On the right hand side of your items report select Worse Selling Items.
4. Date Range
Use the Date Range field to specify the timeframe for the data you want to pull. You might choose to view the same period from last year or analyze your all-time worse-selling inventory.
5. Supplier
Using the Supplier selection, you can pinpoint your worse-selling products based on the supplier, allowing you to gain insights into which suppliers' products are the bottom movers in your business.
6. Customer
Using the Customer selection, you can focus on a specific customer and view their lowest purchases in your system. This can be valuable if you are looking to target specific individuals with personalized offers or promotions.
7. Category
The Category selection allows you to filter this report to view your worse-selling items within specific categories. This option is valuable because it helps you identify low-performing products in particular segments, enabling you to make informed stocking decisions and tailor promotions. Understanding category-level sales trends also supports strategic planning and helps allocate resources to the most profitable areas of your inventory.
8. Sale Type
The Sale Type feature allows you to specify either Sales or Returns. For an accurate view of quantity movement, I recommend keeping this set to All, as it will account for both sales and returns.
9. Group By Variation
The Group by Variation option allows sales in the report to be grouped by their specific variations, rather than the overall item name, for items with variants.
10. Limit
The Limit field allows you to specify how many of the top-selling items you want to see. For example, in this instance, I selected the bottom 50.
11. Quantity Purchased
The Order By selection lets you sort items based on Quantity Purchased, Total Monetary Value Collected, or Profit, giving you the flexibility to view your top sellers by profit or by quantity.
12. Excel Export
Exporting to Excel allows you to take your filtered list and export it as a CSV file.
13. Generate PDF
Using the Generate PDF function will create the report as a PDF file based on your selected filters.
14. Location
The Location filter allows you to specify which location(s) you want the report to pull data from, or you can select All Locations for a comprehensive view.
15. Report View
Once you submit your filters, coreSTORE will generate a report view based on the filtering and display settings you established.
