coreSTORE - Reporting: Identifying Top and Bottom Selling Customers




In this guide, we will cover how to run a Customer Summary Report. By using this report and its various filters, you can easily identify your top or bottom customers based on your selected sales criteria.

1. Click on Reports




Navigate to the Reports menu option on the left-hand navigation bar.

2. Click on Customers




In the Reports section, locate Customer Reporting.

3. Click on Summary Reports




Now, select the Summary Report. This report provides the filtering options needed to identify top and bottom customers based on your desired thresholds.

4. Date Range




The Date Range field allows you to specify the timeframe for the data you wish to include in the summary report. This is useful for generating reports for specific periods, such as last holiday season or even all-time transactions.

5. Total Spent




The Total Spent field allows you to filter customers based on their spending, identifying those who have spent more, less, or equal to the specified amount. This helps you pinpoint your big spenders and identify clients who may need additional attention to encourage their return.

6. Total Number of Sales




You can also use the Total Number of Sales field to identify clients based on the number of transactions rather than their total spending.

7. Purchased In Last




The Purchase in Last field allows you to set criteria based on a specified number of months, ensuring that the filtered results meet the selected criteria within that timeframe.

8. Generating the report.




Once you have established your criteria, you can generate the report for on-screen viewing. Alternatively, you can export the report to Excel if you’d prefer to work with this list in a spreadsheet for further analysis or to import into your marketing program. Adjust your filters as needed to find the insights you’re looking for regarding your top and bottom customers.
