Click on Manufacturers

Dive into Manufacturer Management:

Within the coreSTORE inventory module, navigate to the "Manufactures" sub-module. This dedicated area lets you manage all the manufacturer information associated with the products you sell in your store.

Manage Manufactures

Your Manufacturer Hub: View and Populate with Ease

Head over to "Inventory" and then "Manufactures" to access your central location for managing all the product manufacturers you have on record within coreSTORE.

See All Existing Manufacturers: This screen provides a clear view of all the manufacturers you've previously created in coreSTORE. Quickly browse through the list to find specific brands or edit existing entries if needed.

Bonus Tip for coreFORCE Ecommerce Users:

If you have a coreFORCE Ecommerce subscription, you're in luck! Leverage the power of coreFORCE's online distributor catalog. With a simple click (or following the system's instructions), you can potentially import a wealth of manufacturer information directly into your coreSTORE database. This can save you significant time and effort in setting up your product data.

Click on New Manufacturer

Welcome New Manufacturers!

Click on "New Manufacturer" to initiate the process of adding a new brand to your coreSTORE database. This will open a form where you can enter all the relevant details about the manufacturer.

Step 3 screenshot

Search by FFL

FFL Dealer Feature: Search by FFL (EZ Check Integration)

This option, titled "Search by FFL" within the "New Manufacturer" section of the Manufactures module, is specifically designed for our FFL dealers. It leverages coreSTORE's integration with the ATF's EZ Check system.

Here's what it does:

By entering a valid FFL number, you can potentially retrieve manufacturer information directly from the ATF database, streamlining the manufacturer creation process within coreSTORE.

Important Note:

Please remember that this functionality is restricted to FFL holders who use coreSTORE to manage their firearms inventory.

Manufacturer Name

The Essential Manufacturer Name

The "Manufacturer Name" field is a mandatory part of creating a new manufacturer in coreSTORE. This field serves two key purposes:

Identification: It clearly identifies the brand or company that produces the items you stock in your inventory. This allows you to easily search, filter, and report on products based on manufacturer.

Inventory Accuracy: Assigning a manufacturer to your inventory items ensures accurate data for reporting purposes. You can track sales trends, analyze performance, and identify top-selling brands by having this information readily available.

Picture Perfect: Adding Manufacturer Logos

The "Image" field within the "New Manufacturer" section lets you upload a logo or image for the brand you're creating. This visual element offers several benefits:

Simplified Identification: When receiving inventory or managing products, having a logo attached to the manufacturer record makes it easier to identify the correct brand at a glance. No more deciphering long brand names!

Enhanced coreTAGs (if applicable): If you use coreTAGs, manufacturer logos can be displayed alongside product information. This provides a quick visual cue for customers browsing your store or using coreTAGs for product selection.

Tip: Uploading a clear, high-resolution logo will ensure optimal visibility within coreSTORE.

Step 6 screenshot

Description

If desired enter a description about your manufacture.

Step 7 screenshot

Categories

Organizing Your Manufacturers (Optional):

Within the manufacturer record, you might find a section titled "Categories." This is an optional field that allows you to categorize what products the manufacturer supplies.

Step 8 screenshot

Show On Web Site

Making Manufacturers Shine Online (coreFORCE Ecommerce Users):

The "Show On Web Site" setting, located within the "New Manufacturer" section, caters specifically to coreFORCE Ecommerce users. Here's what it does:

Ecommerce Visibility: When enabled, this setting makes the newly created manufacturer a selectable filter on your coreFORCE Ecommerce website. This allows your customers to browse and refine their product searches by brand, potentially improving their shopping experience.

Remember: This feature is only relevant if you have a coreFORCE Ecommerce subscription and want to display manufacturer information on your online store.

Step 9 screenshot

Ecommerce Manufacturer ID

Ecommerce Manufacturer ID: Behind the Scenes (coreFORCE Ecommerce Users)

The "Ecommerce Manufacturer ID" field within the "New Manufacturer" section is primarily for informational purposes (especially for coreFORCE Ecommerce users). It gets automatically populated behind the scenes.

Here's the process:

You Enable "Show On Web Site": When you create a new manufacturer and activate the "Show On Web Site" setting, coreSTORE communicates with coreFORCE Ecommerce.

coreFORCE Creates Online Presence: coreFORCE Ecommerce takes the manufacturer information you've entered and creates a corresponding entry on your online store's backend.

Unique ID Assigned: Once the online manufacturer is established, a unique identifier, the "Ecommerce Manufacturer ID," gets assigned. This ID automatically populates the field within coreSTORE, creating a reference between the two systems.

In essence, you don't need to manually enter anything in the "Ecommerce Manufacturer ID" field. It's a handy indicator that coreFORCE Ecommerce has successfully created the manufacturer profile online.

Step 10 screenshot

FFL Number

FFL Number Field (Optional):

You might encounter an "FFL Number" field when creating manufacturer records in coreSTORE. This field is for FFL Dealers, but it won't be relevant for all manufacturers.

Step 11 screenshot

FFL Expiration

Heads Up for FFL Expirations (Optional):

You might notice an "FFL Expiration" field when creating manufacturer records. While this may not be relevant for everyday manufacturer, it can be a handy tool if you frequently work with FFL Manufactures.
