Selling Integrally Suppressed Firearms in coreSTORE

You can sell integrally suppressed firearms in coreSTORE, but the process differs from selling a standard firearm or suppressor. An integrally suppressed firearm should be treated as two serialized firearms in one:

  • The suppressed portion (the NFA firearm)
  • The Title 1 firearm (typically a pistol or rifle)

Because of this structure, each sale requires two serial numbers—one for each component—and each component must have its own Bound Book entry.

Important
While NFA firearms can be transferred using a NICS exemption after Form 4 approval, Title 1 firearms are not eligible for that exemption. The background check requirements for the Title 1 portion remain the same, even when it appears on the same Form 4473 as the NFA item. For transfer purposes, the NICS check always takes precedence over the NFA exception.

Integrally suppressed firearms involve two separate “firearms,” so we recommend representing the complete product using an Item Kit.

Step 1: Create Individual Products

Create separate products for the NFA component and the Title 1 component.

  • Manufacturer data may exist for one or both parts, but often only the final serialized firearm includes complete details.
  • Create these products manually if needed.
  • Receive each part under its individual product so each component receives its own Bound Book and inventory entry.

Step 2: Create the Item Kit

Create the final Item Kit product.

  • You may also use an existing product if the complete firearm is already in your inventory.
  • When the kit is configured with both components, adding it to a sale will prompt for both serial numbers.
Important
When using an e-commerce platform, do not mark the component parts as e-commerce items. Only list the final Item Kit product online. Imported orders will still reflect that two serial numbers are required.

Component Setup Details

Suppressor (NFA Item)

  1. Set up the barrel as a serialized item with the appropriate settings.
  2. Because it is always one of two components in the kit, we recommend assigning it half the cost of the complete firearm.
  • Example: If the total cost is $3,000, assign $1,500 to each component.
  • Apply the same method to the selling price.
  1. Repeat this setup for the Title 1 component.

Creating the Item Kit

  1. Go to Inventory > Kits, and select + New Item Kit.
  2. Enter the required information for the kit (kit name, category).
  3. Select Items to save the Item Kit information.
  4. Add both component items (for example, the lower and the barrel).
  5. Select Pricing to save the items and add pricing details.
  6. The selling price will automatically calculate based on the component item prices.
  7. Enter the cost manually or select Calculate Suggested Price to generate pricing from the component costs.
  8. Select Images to add photos if needed, then select Save.

Processing a Sale

  1. Add the item kit to the sale by searching for the kit name you created.
  2. Both component items will appear, allowing you to enter a serial number for each portion.
  3. Enter the serial numbers for both items.
  4. Complete the transaction as you would for any NFA item purchase.
Note
If you sell an integrally suppressed barrel that is not a complete firearm (that is, it does not include the Title 1 portion), it is treated as a standalone NFA item. You can receive and sell it individually.
