coreSTORE - Inventory: Creating an Accessory Item
In this guide, we will cover the basics of creating an accessory item in coreSTORE.
- Navigate to the Items sub-menu located under the Inventory menu on the left-hand navigation bar.
- Click on the New Item button in the top right-hand corner of your Items screen.
- Give your product an Item Name—in this example, we will be creating an Airpod item. Remember, all fields highlighted in red are required.
- Ensure you select the correct taxonomy for your item in the Category drop-down box.
- Enter a Description for your product that will appear on customer receipts.
- Next, navigate to the Pricing tab to establish the cost and selling price of the product.
- Enter the Cost of the product in the Cost field.
- Enter the Selling Price of the item in the Selling Price field.
- Click on the Inventory tab. Here, you can establish Reorder Points and set your current On-Hand Quantity.
- In this example, I will add 10 units to inventory without receiving the product. This is useful when creating products that you already have on hand and don't need to record a receiving record.
- Click save to create your new accessory item!
