coreSTORE - Inventory: Creating an Accessory Item
In this guide, we will cover the basics of creating an accessory item in coreSTORE.
1. Items sub-menu
Navigate to the Items sub-menu located under the Inventory menu on the left-hand navigation bar.
2. Click on New Item
Click on the New Item button in the top right-hand corner of your Items screen.
3. Item Name
Give your product an Item Name—in this example, we will be creating an Airpod item. Remember, all fields highlighted in red are required.
4. Category Selection
Ensure you select the correct taxonomy for your item in the Category drop-down box.
5. Description
Enter a Description for your product that will appear on customer receipts.
6. Click on Pricing
Next, navigate to the Pricing tab to establish the cost and selling price of the product.
7. Cost
Enter the Cost of the product in the Cost field.
8. Selling Price
Enter the Selling Price of the item in the Selling Price field.
9. Click on Inventory
Click on the Inventory tab. Here, you can establish Reorder Points and set your current On-Hand Quantity.
10. Inventory to Add or Subtract
In this example, I will add 10 units to inventory without receiving the product. This is useful when creating products that you already have on hand and don't need to record a receiving record.
11. Click on Save
Click save to create your new accessory item!
