coreSTORE- Hardware: How to Set Up the Cash Drawer for coreSTORE

The only types of cash drawers that are possible to support (that open automatically) are the ones that connect to a receipt printer such as APG Vasario 1416 Cash Drawer.

From the control panel --> Devices and printers
Right-click the Star printer and select Printer Properties
Click Device Settings tab.
For Peripheral Unit Type; change to Cash Drawer.
Make sure "pulse width" is 200ms and "Peripheral Unit 1" is "Document Top"
