coreSTORE - Getting Started: Setting up Basic Taxes
This guide will show you how to setup basic taxes in coreSTORE.
Click on Company -> Settings
Choose the Taxes Section
You can use the search box to find the Tax section in Company Settings, or scroll down.
Click on Taxes
Enter the sales tax rate
As an example we will enter 5 for the sales tax rate (5%)
Optionally setup additional tax rates
For the second sales tax we will setup a tax exempt tax rate. The first step is to change the name to Tax Exempt.
Optionallly Set Up a Tax Exempt Rate
Enter 0 for the tax rate.
Finish
You have now successfully created two basic tax rates. To test you can go to the sales screen and enter or scan an item. The tax rate should be calculated correctly
Don't forget to Click on Save at the Bottom of the screen to save your changes
