coreSTORE - Getting Started: Reason Codes

Reason Codes are used when someone changes the cost of an item, modifies its sale price, or applies a discount on the sales screen. Employees are prompted to provide a reason for these actions, which can be either manually entered or selected from a set of pre-determined options based on your setup.

None: there will be no prompt.
Request: the prompt will ask for a reason but will not require it.

Require: the change cannot be made without inputting a reason inside the prompt.
