coreSTORE - Getting Started: How to setup Gmail with App Password for emailing receipts.




1. 1. First, log into your Gmail and click on your "Google Account" icon at the top-right.

2. 2. Next, click on the "Manage your Google Account" button under your profile pic.

3. 3. On this new screen, select the "Security" option on the left-hand side.

4. 4. Before enabling the "App Password", we must ensure that we have "2-Step Verification" enabled. If it is turned off, please select the option to enable it.




If 2-Step Verification is enabled already, you can skip to Step 7.

5. 5. Next, click the "Turn on 2-Step Verification" button to enable it.

6. 6. After enabling, click on the "←" next to the title labeled "2-Step Verification".

7. 7. Next, at the top of the screen click into the "Search Bar" and type in the word "App". Then, select the "App passwords" option.

8. 8. On this screen, assign an "App Name" (coreSTORE) for the "App Password" that is going to be generated and click "Create".

9. 9. After creating, it will pop-up a screen with your newly generated app password. COPY this password and click "Done". (blurred image)

10. 10. Once the App Password is created and you have it copied. Go into coreSTORE under Company > Settings.

11. 11. In here, go into "Email Settings".

12. 12. For the field "Select A Provider", switch this to "Gmail". Then, fill in the email address you will be sending from. Finally, enter in the "App Password" for the "Email Password" and click "Send Test Email". If you get the email, you can now click "Save" and you're all set!
