coreSTORE - FFL: Where Is My Serial Number

There are a few reasons this error could happen inside of coreSTORE. Always make sure you are receiving firearms through correct processes such as

PO & Receiving
Trade Ins
Private Purchases
Transfers

However, if you do run into this issue, this is the first thing you should check to fix the error so you can proceed with the sale of this firearm.

When the Error Occurs

The error occurs after adding the firearm and attempting to scan the serial number. Alternatively, when attempting to scan just the serial number to find the boundbook record, the system tries to search the online catalog instead of bringing up the item and boundbook record.
