coreSTORE - FFL: Understanding the Bound Book Dashboard
A guide to help understand the features on the Bound Book Dashboard.
NOTE: Many of the features detailed here are permission dependent. If you do not see one of the features when you are logged into the system you may not have been granted the permission to use that feature. Consult with someone with the authority to review and make changes to your permissions to gain that access. See Employee Permission: Bound Book.
Access the Dashboard
From the left hand menu select "Bound Book." Select "Dashboard" from the expanded menu.
Available Books
The tiles at the top of the page represent individual Bound Books that have been created for this location and FFL.
NOTE: See document on Managing Bound Books for more details on how to create and customize these books.
Status Field
When selected a drop down of the available statuses will appear. Each record in a Bound Book has a status that shows its current availability in your inventory. You can filter your searches by status to easily find what you need.
Search Bound Book
Use this bar to find specific firearms. Typing in the serial number or UPC code usually gives the fastest results, but you can search for anything listed in the records.
Fields
Click this dropdown to see a list of Bound Book record fields. You can use these options to filter your search for more specific results.
Category
This field allows you to filter a search by category. The categories in this list will match the categories as you have them established for your store.
Manufacturer
Click here to see a list of all your store's manufacturers. This helps you narrow down your search results.
Manage 4473
Clicking on this button will take you directly to the Mange 4473 Page where you can process 4473 for forearms transfers.
NOTE: See document Managing and Processing 4473s for more details on the Manage 4473 page.
New Record
Clicking on this button will open a new blank Bound Book record in order to manually acquire a firearm into the BOund book
Additional Options
When selected, "Show Used Only" will cause the Bound Book to only display records marked as being used firearms.
The "Search" button will initiate your search after filters and search info has been selected.
The "Export" button will export the current view of selected records to an excel document. TO select a record, check the bocx
3 DOT Menu
This menu provides additional function options:
Fill Out 4473: Opens the 4473 kiosk log in screen.
Legacy Manage 4473: Access older records form previous version of the system.
Create Inventory Count: Creates a physical inventory count of firearms by product ID accessible through the inventory module.
Import From Fastbound: Accesses a data import function.
Excel Import: Accesses a data import function from an Excel document.
Excel Export: Will export data to an Excel document.
Update Missing Information: Will attempt to add missing info using product descriptions in the system.
Reconcile Serial Numbers to Inventory: Running this will match Bound Book records to inventory items so serial numbers will accurately reflect to inventory.
Custom Field Configurator: Allows you to add additional fields in the acquisition and disposition pages.
Manage Deleted Records: Opens a page where deleted Bound Book records can be viewed and managed if need be.

Actions Buttons
When a specific Bound Book record is selected by checking the left hand box, these additional buttons will appear.
Print Label: Will print a label containing the firearm information from the Bound Book.
Clear Selection: Will de-select the records you have checked.
Move: Will initiate the movement to another book in this location.
Excel Export: Will export the selected record to an Excel document.
Dispose: Will open a Disposition page for the selected record to manually dispose the firearm. If the record is in a "Pending" status, it will complete the disposition.
Create Work Order: Allows you to open a Work Order for the firearm.
Line Item Records
Each line of information below search fields is an individual Bound Book record and represents a firearm.
You can choose which information to see in these tables by adding or removing columns. This way, the view is customized to your preferences.
To customize click on the gear icon on the left side of the page above the line items. This will open a drop down list of options you can select.
Custom Configuration
We offer over 90 data points you can choose to display. Take a look and pick the information that's most important to you!
You can also change the order in which the items will display on the dashboard by clicking a dragging the drag handle icon on the right of the list.
