coreSTORE- FFL: Reporting Lost, Stolen, or Destroyed Items
- When an FFL discovers a firearm is stolen or lost the FFL has 48 hours to file a report with local police and the ATF.
- After you have the local police report number and the ATF incident number, click on Bound Book in the FFL sub-menu
- Click Edit on the record of the Lost or Stolen Firearm.
- In the upper right corner, there is a red button that is labeled “Lost, Stolen, Destroyed”. Click that button and a popup will show up where you will need to put the information collected in step 2.
- On the popup there will be 3 blacked out buttons labeled “Lost” ” Stolen” “Destroyed”. Click the button that pertains to your situation.
- Fill out the fields on the pop-up. The date the loss was discovered, Police report number and ATF incident number are required to be recorded.
- After entering all the information and any notes click save. That will mark the record as Lost, Stolen, or Destroyed.
- It will also add the info entered in the pop-up to the disposition page.
