coreSTORE- FFL: Reporting Lost, Stolen, or Destroyed Items
When an FFL discovers a firearm is stolen or lost the FFL has 48 hours to file a report with local police and the ATF.
After you have the local police report number and the ATF incident number, click on Bound Book in the FFL sub-menu
Click Edit on the record of the Lost or Stolen Firearm.
In the upper right corner, there is a red button that is labeled “Lost, Stolen, Destroyed”. Click that button and a popup will show up where you will need to put the information collected in step 2.
On the popup there will be 3 blacked out buttons labeled “Lost” ” Stolen” “Destroyed”. Click the button that pertains to your situation.
Fill out the fields on the pop-up. The date the loss was discovered, Police report number and ATF incident number are required to be recorded.
After entering all the information and any notes click save. That will mark the record as Lost, Stolen, or Destroyed.
It will also add the info entered in the pop-up to the disposition page.
