coreSTORE - FFL: Managing Bound Books

coreSTORE supports the ability to maintain multiple bound books. Including bound books for work orders, NFA Items, FFL transfers, etc. This guide will walk you through how to Add, Edit and Delete Bound Books.

From the left hand menu select "FFL" then select "Manage Bound Book" in the expanded menu.

To add a Bound Book, select the "Add Bound Book" link at the bottom of the list. This will open a line item with the fillable fields.

In the new line item, you will enter the name you choose for the Bound Book in the open field in the "Code" column.

Select the Location this Bound Book will be used for. A dropdown menu will appear if you have multiple locations. NOTE: ALL Bound Books from ALL locations are managed from this screen.

This "Types" field allows you to specify firearm types for this Bound Book. As you start typing, a list of options will appear. This is an optional field.

You can designate a specific purpose for this Bound Book. In this example, we've chosen "Use for Transfers." Selecting this option will ensure all firearms received through the Transfer Module are logged in this particular Bound Book.

Default Book - This option marks this Bound Book as the default for recording all general firearm acquisitions. Your initial Bound Book upon start will be labeled as "PRIMARY" and be designated as Default.

Use for Work Orders - Selecting this option ensures firearms acquired through the Work Order module are automatically logged in this specific Bound Book.

If a Bound Book does not have a designated use, it will still be available, however, firearms will have to be manually moved into it from the other books on the Bound Book Dashboard page.

Once you save your changes the new Bound Book will be given an ID number. NOTE: The Bound Books will list in a descending order based on that ID.

To delete a Bound Book select the "Delete" link to the right of the Bound Book you wish to delete. You will get a message box verifying that you do wish to delete it.

To move firearms between your Bound Books, In the Bound Book Dashboard, check the box to the left of the firearm you wish to move. This will open a series of button options above the list of firearms.

Select the "Move" option in that list of buttons. This will open the list of Bound Books you have in this location in which you can move the firearm to.

Select the Bound Book you want to move the firearm to and it will dispose from the original book and acquire into the book you selected.
