coreSTORE - FFL: How to sell and ship a Firearm to an FFL
- First, select Sales > New Sale.
- Pull in the Firearm to be transferred by either searching for the item itself, or by searching the serial number.
- If you didn't search a serial number but rather the inventory item, please select the "Empty" box.
- Once selected, click the blank box to get a drop-down menu allowing you to choose the serial number to be transferred.
- Once pulled in, click the "√ " button.
- Once the serial number is pulled in, select your customer that will be going to pickup the firearm from the other FFL.
- Once the customer and item is pulled in, you should now have a "Fulfillment" button right below your customer information. Select that option.
- On this screen, you can choose the shipping method that would be used.
- Once you have the information you want, move to the next tab for "Address".
- On this screen, search for your supplier to pull in their FFL information. Otherwise if the supplier doesn't exist, you can add a new one using the "+" button to the left.
- Once you pull in your supplier, all correlating fields will be populated.
- Finally, you can select the "Fees" tab.
- Inside of here, you can enter in a Delivery Fee for this sale. Once it's filled in, it will always default to that Delivery Fee amount. However, you can still go in and change it.
- Now that all that's entered, you can click the "Save Delivery" button.
- Once saved, it will pull in the Delivery Fee automatically.
- Also, the "Fulfillment" icon will change indicating that you have already filled out the necessary information.
- Now, we can take the payment by clicking "Continue".
- Select our Payment Type.
- Then simply select the "Add Payment" button.
- Now, we can go ahead and select the "Complete Sale" button to finalize it.
- Your receipt should look something like this, with the Shipping Address, Customer info and Item info.
- To see how it effects your Bound Book, we can go to Bound Book > Dashboard on the left-hand side.
- In the Dashboard, we can search for our serial number and click the "Edit" button.
- Then, on this BB record we can select the "Disposition Information" tab.
- Finally, on this screen we can see that the firearm is disposed and that it was disposed to the FFL we entered in on the Fulfillment screen.
