coreSTORE - FFL - How to Generate Colorado DR 7606 and 7602 Forms
In this guide, you'll learn how to configure your Company Settings and generate the Colorado DR 7606 and DR 7602 forms to ensure compliance with the latest Colorado state regulations.
Note: Certain fields—such as Occupation or Firearm Finish—may be required for the form to populate correctly. These should be entered either in the Customer Profile or the corresponding Bound Book record within coreSTORE as you may not have previously tracked this information.
- Click on Locations
First, navigate to the Locations submenu, which can be found under the Company menu.
- Click on Edit
Select the appropriate location from the list, then click Edit to open its settings.
- Verify Address Information
Next, under your Location Settings, verify the address information. Be sure to confirm the City, State, ZIP Code, County (New Field Added per the requirements), and Country, as these fields directly affect how the forms are generated and displayed.
- Click on BoundBook
Next, navigate to the Bound Book section within your Location Settings.
- Populate Your Dealer Permit Number and Expiration Date
In this section, enter your Dealer Number and the Expiration Date relevant to the new forms. This information will automatically populate on the generated forms.
- Add State Permit To suppliers as needed
Next navigate to purchasing > suppliers to update permit information as needed.
- Click on Edit
Find the correct supplier and click edit to open the supplier information.
- Locate Colorado Dealer Permit Number and Expiration Fields
Note: This information is only required for other Colorado dealers and FFLs.
- To Generate your DR 7606
Next to generate your DR 7606 for a specific firearm navigate to FFL>Bound Book.
- Select the appropriate record
- Click on Colorado DR 7606
Once the correct record is selected, click the Colorado DR 7606 button to generate and download a PDF version of the corresponding form.
- Generating your DR 7602 Form
To generate your DR 7602 form, simply click the corresponding button at the time of sale on the Sales Receipt screen. Alternatively, you can reprint the Sales ID to access the form button and generate a PDF for that specific transaction.
