CoreSTORE - FFL: Bound Book Kiosk Settings


Customizing Kiosk Options for 4473 Processing



  1. Access Settings Menu


From the left hand menu select "Company." Then select "Setting" in the expanded menu.


NOTE: These are global settings that will affect all locations.

  1. Open Kiosk Settings


Select "Bound Book Kiosk" from the list of options.

  1. Disable Zip Code Lookup


The kiosk normally fills in city and state based on the zip code entered. You can disable this feature if you prefer manual entry.

  1. Require Email At Kiosk?


When selected this will require the customer to enter an email address in order to complete their portion of the 4473 on the kiosk.

  1. Hide Email Address


The customer's email address is normally displayed in Section B on the Manage 4473 page. Selecting this option will hide it from view.

  1. Require Phone At Kiosk?


When selected this will require the customer to enter a phone number in order to complete their portion of the 4473 on the kiosk.

The customer's phone number is normally displayed in Section B on the Manage 4473 page. Selecting this option will hide it from view.

  1. Use External Reference For 4473 Kiosk?


By default, the kiosk uses a QR code for customer access to the kiosk. You can enable this setting to allow manual entry of name and 4473 ID instead.

  1. Require Manager Override To Edit NICS Info


Enable this setting to restrict editing NICS information. Only authorized personnel with specific permissions will be able to modify it.

  1. Check Require Customer Answers 21a


The default kiosk setting allows Q21.a to be left blank to accommodate the following exception as detailed on the 4473:


"Exception: If you are only picking up a repaired firearm(s) for another person, you are not required to answer 21.a. and may proceed to question 21.b."


By enabling this setting the kiosk will require that Q21.a be answered before the customer can proceed with the form.

  1. Lock Qualifying Questions


Enabling this feature prevents changing answers to the disqualifier questions (21.a through 21.n) after the initial submission.

  1. Logo or Image


Upload your company logo or another image to display on the login screen.


Click "Delete Logo Or Image" to remove any existing image.

  1. Customize The Appearance


These settings allow you to personalize the kiosk's look and feel by changing colors, fonts, and even the text displayed on the login screen.
