coreSTORE - FFL: 4473 Report
- The purpose of the document is to show you how to generate a 4473.
- This report can be used to research 4473 history.
- It may also be requested during an inspection to verify the number of 4473s you have accumulated and to verify NICS numbers to 4473s.
1. Access Reports
- From the left had menu select Reports.
- This will open a new page that lists all of the available reporting options in the system.

3. 4473 Report
- Select the "4473 Report" option from the list.
- This will open a new page of filter options to select from to customize the report.
4. Filters: Date Range
- You will need to set the date ranges you want the report to include.
- There are several options to select from including an options to set a custom date range.
- For inspection purposes the Custom Date Range option is the best for setting for the previous 12 months.
5. Filters: Status
- This field is used to select the 4473 status you want included in the report.
- If left blank the report will include all 4473s regardless of status.
- The options are:
- New - forms that have been created but not started.
- Complete - forms that have been finished.
- Incomplete - forms that are in progress.
- Invalid - forms that have been invalidated or closed.
6. Filters: Export Options
- You have the option to export the Bound Book report into a printable or downloadable format.
- The options include Excel or PDF format.
- Select the option you want to use.
- If no export option is selected the finished report will display and be viewable from this same page.
Note: One way to get a total number of 4473s for the selected date range is to export to excel to see a numbered list. We will cover how to get this number from the Manage 4473 page ina later slide.
7. Filters: Location
- If you have multiple locations in your coreSTORE you can designate which location to run the report for.
- Or you can include 4473s from all location.
NOTE: During an inspection, only run the report for the location being inspected.
8. Submit
- Once you have your filters selected select the the Submit button in the lower right part of the screen.
9. Final Report
- Reports exported to Excel or PDF documents will be downloaded on your computer.
- Otherwise the report will display as below.
10. Return to Filters
- You can return to the filters page by clicking on the arrow button in the upper right hand cornet of the page.
11. Select New Filters
- You can now change your filters to add or take away data and re-submit the report.
12. 4473 Count Alternative Method
- The second way to get a total count of the 4473s you have generated for a specific time frame is from the Manage 4473 page.
- Go to FFL > Manage 4473
13. Set Dates
- Set the date range in the Start Date and End Date Fields.
- Then select Search
14. The Total
- The green bubble next to the "Form 4473" title is the total number of 4473 for the date range set.
- This number will be affected by the selecting the Hide Archived, Hide Invalidated, Flagged Records Only and Only Show Previously Denied options on the page.
