coreSTORE - Channels: BigCommerce Setup
In this guide, we will cover the steps to configure your coreSTORE system for integration with the BigCommerce platform.
Click on Company
First, navigate to the Company menu option.
Click on Channels
Next, locate the Channels sub-menu.
Click on the BigCommerce Option
Now, select BigCommerce as the channel you are setting up.
Credentials Area
In the Credentials area, click on the Get Credentials button. This will prompt you to sign in to your BigCommerce account to obtain your access token and store hash. Be sure to keep these details private, as they are used for your direct connection. You will also be prompted to enter your coreSTORE URL to complete the app link.
Settings Area
In the Settings area, after signing in using the Get Credentials button, the following settings will automatically update:
Active Field : This will be checked, but you can toggle it off if you don't want the channel active yet.
Channel Name : This will populate with the name of your website.
Website : This will display the URL of your BigCommerce site.
Other settings in this area include:
Exclude Locations : Allows you to exclude specific locations from appearing on the site. Simply check this box and add the locations in the Location field. If unchecked all locations added will only reflect in the integration.
Exclude Tags : Lets you exclude specific item tags from coreSTORE that you don’t want to carry over to BigCommerce. If unselected only tags established will publish to the channel when active.
Pull Orders : Automatically pulls orders from BigCommerce into coreSTORE.
Update When Receiving Items : Updates your website with new quantities when you receive items.
Update When Selling : Updates BigCommerce with inventory changes as items are sold.
Update After Inventory Count : Updates BigCommerce with new item counts once a physical inventory is completed.
Default Items to Active : Automatically defaults all newly added items to be active on BigCommerce.
Disable Notifications : Stops alerts from triggering when orders are placed.
Click on Rules
Next, navigate to the Rules area. Here, you’ll find additional settings for managing the communication between BigCommerce and coreSTORE.
Rules Settings
In the Rules settings, you'll find several additional options for managing the integration between BigCommerce and coreSTORE:
Limit Inventory % : Allows you to allocate a specific percentage of your product quantity to be shown as available on the website.
Export Items to Channel : Adds an option on the main page of the channel integration to export all your items from coreSTORE to BigCommerce. This Must be selected before you can push individual items also.
Import Items to coreSTORE : Adds an option on the main page of the channel integration to import all your BigCommerce items into coreSTORE, which is particularly useful if you’re just setting up coreSTORE.
Update Item Price When the Price is Updated in the Channel : Allows item pricing updates made in BigCommerce to flow back into the coreSTORE item records.
Product Custom Fields : Enabling this option allows you to select product custom fields on the Channel tab of the item in coreSTORE.
Customer Custom Fields : Allows customer custom fields from BigCommerce to be selected on client records in coreSTORE.
Default Location : Specifies the default location for processing your eCommerce orders.
Web Hooks Info
Now that you've established your rules and connected your site to coreSTORE, a new tab called Web Hooks will appear. This tab allows you to control what information updates between BigCommerce and coreSTORE. While it's recommended to enable all settings for optimal synchronization, you have the flexibility to customize them according to your needs.
Click on Save
To finalize your updates and changes.
