coreSTORE - Assemblies: Creating Assemblies in coreSTORE

In this guide, we will cover how to take components from your coreSTORE system to create a final assembled product. In this example, we’ll use an upper and lower receiver to create a finalized rifle. Please note that to build your assembly item, all components must already exist in the coreSTORE system.


Click on Assemblies

Navigate to the Inventory menu, then select the Assemblies sub-menu to open the Assembly Dashboard.

Click on New Assembly

In the top right-hand corner of your dashboard, click the New Assembly button to create your assembly record.

Select Assembly Item

In the Select Assembly Item field, search for the completed assembly item that the combined components will create.

Item Information

Here, you'll see the details for the completed item, including the name, description, taxonomy, and UPC code of the finalized product.

Add Item

In the Add Item search field, search for the components needed to create the finalized product. Adding these items will save them as a "recipe list."

Components

Once you have entered your component items, they will appear in the corresponding fields. Please note that the cost and selling price for the individual items will not be visible until you save and re-enter the assembly to build the product.

Click on Save

Building your Product

There are two ways to build the product. The first option is to check the box next to the assembly you wish to build, then click the Build button.

Click on Edit

The second option to finalize the assembly is to click Edit on the assembly.

Click on Build

Locate the Build button in the top right-hand corner of your edit screen.

Build Assembly Dialog Box

Enter the quantity of the final product you would like to create. This will reference your component list, remove those items from individual stock, and allocate them to the final build.

New Serial Number

In the New Serial Number field, designate a new serial number for the final completed item. This step is only necessary if you are not using one of the component serial numbers for the finalized product.

Serial Numbers

If you are going to use an existing component's serial number, select it here and simply save the changes. This will transfer the component's serial number to the finalized product.

Click on Save

Click on Assembly Builds

To verify that the build has been completed, navigate to the Inventory menu and select Assembly Builds.

Assembly Builds Dashboard

On the Assembly Builds Dashboard, you can verify that the build has moved to Completed status, showing the quantity built and the corresponding serial number.
