coreILLA - Contacts Bulk Importing Via CSV
Whether this is your first CRM or you are moving from another system, coreILLA's import feature lets you create records and update your existing database seamlessly. To bulk import contacts into coreILLA, start by preparing a CSV file with the required columns (First Name, Last Name, Email, etc.).
Only users with an Admin role will have the option to import and export contacts.
The import file needs to be a .csv file
Have only one sheet/tab within the spreadsheet
The CSV file needs to be smaller than 50MB. A typical .csv file with 4 columns and 10,000 records will be ~500kb in size.
The first row should NOT be blank! Include a header row in which at least one column header corresponds to a field in the system.
After logging in to your coreILLA account, follow the following steps:
Click on Contacts
Click on the following highlighted button at the top of the dashboard to move forward:
Click "Upload a File" and select your CSV file from your computer.
Click on Next
coreILLA will automatically map the CSV columns to the corresponding fields. For any columns that don't match, manually map them to the appropriate contact fields in coreILLA. This step ensures that all your contact information is accurately imported into the system.
If there's a column information that you don't want to import and is not of use, you can exclude it by checking the "Don't import data in unmatched columns" option.
Click on Next
Before completing the import, you have the option to name your contact list for easier organization and retrieval in the future.
Check on Create a list of contacts from the imports if you want to create a contact list out of it.
Check on the consent box.
Two main reasons why the consent from contacts is helpful while importing contacts:
Protect Your Sending Reputation: Importing bulk contacts without proper consent can lead to higher bounce and spam rates, negatively impacting your sending reputation.
Prevent Issues with Purchased or Rented Lists: Even if some lists claim to have opt-in consent, they may not be suitable for marketing communication tools. Contacts from purchased or rented sources are likely to bounce, unsubscribe, mark emails as spam, and may cause blacklisting.
Click on Submit to complete your import process.
