coreFORCE – Products – Shipping Discounts and Free Shipping

coreFORCE provides two supported methods for offering free or discounted shipping on individual products:

1. By using the Product Price Type feature directly in coreFORCE
2. By using product tags in coreSTORE combined with the Promotions module in coreFORCE

Each method is outlined below.

Option 1: Product Price Type (coreFORCE)

Use this method to apply free or discounted shipping directly to a specific product in coreFORCE.

Create a Shipping Charge Product Price Type

1. Go to Products > Pricing > Product Price Types.

2. Select Add in the upper-right corner.

3. In Preset Values, select Shipping Charge.

4. (Optional) Adjust the Sort Order to control how the price type appears.

5. Select Save.

Apply the Shipping Charge to a Product

1. Go to Products > Products > Products.

2. Search for and open the product you want to configure.

3. Select the Pricing tab.

4. Scroll to the Product Prices section.

5. Select the Add (+) button.

6. Under Product Price Type, select Shipping Charge.

7. (Optional) If this price applies only to specific memberships, configure User Type.

8. (Optional) If the pricing is temporary, set Start Date and End Date.

9. Configure Location:

• • Leave [Any] selected to apply to all orders.
  • Select your store location to apply free shipping only to in-store inventory.
  • • This allows distributor-fulfilled orders to continue charging shipping.

10. (Optional) To limit the promotion to a specific number of sales, enter a value in End After X Sales.

11. Set the Price.

12. Select Save.

Option 2: Product Tags (coreSTORE + coreFORCE Promotions)

This method allows shipping discounts to be driven by product tags applied in coreSTORE. For this to work, three components must be configured:

• A product tag in coreFORCE
• A matching product tag in coreSTORE
• A promotion in coreFORCE that defines how the tag affects shipping

Step 1: Create the Product Tag in coreFORCE

1. Go to Products > Taxonomy > Product Tags.

2. Select Add in the upper-right corner.

3. Enter a Code and Description.

Example:

• Code: FREE_SHIPPING
• Description: Free Shipping

4. Configure any additional settings as needed.

5. Select Save.

Step 2: Create the Matching Product Tag in coreSTORE

1. Go to Inventory > Tags.

2. Select Add Tag.

3. Enter the exact text used in the coreFORCE tag Description.

This field is case sensitive.

4. Select the locations where this tag should not apply.

• Leave all locations unchecked if the tag applies universally.

5. Configure Restricted Items as appropriate.

Note: This setting should be reviewed based on your business policies.

6. Select Save.

Step 3: Create the Promotion in coreFORCE

1. Go to Products > Promotions> Promotions.

2. Select Add.

3. Enter values that match the product tag:

• Description: Free Shipping
• Promotion Code: FREE_SHIPPING

4. (Optional) Set Start Date and End Date if the promotion is time-limited.

5. To apply the promotion automatically, select Apply Automatically.

6. Open the Requirements tab.

7. Scroll to Product Tags and select Add (+).

8. Select the Free Shipping tag.

9. Set Minimum Quantity to 1.

10. Set Minimum Amount to 0.00 or your desired threshold.

11. Open the Rewards tab.

12. Scroll to Shipping Charges and select Add (+).

13. Under Shipping Method, select the shipping method to be discounted (typically Standard).

14. Set the Amount to 0.00.

15. To apply free shipping only to tagged products (not the entire cart), select Only Reward Products.

16. (Optional) Configure exclusions under the Exclusions tabs as needed.

17. Select Save

Applying Free Shipping to a Product

After completing all setup steps:

1. Open the product in coreSTORE.

2. Apply the Free Shipping product tag.

3. Save the product.

Once the coreFORCE site updates, the tag and promotion will sync automatically. If the promotion is active, the product will immediately qualify for free shipping.
