coreFORCE - Contacts: How do I make a customer tax exempt?

To create a custom field, go to System > Custom Fields > Custom Field Builder.

Click Add.

Enter the following for the new custom field (see screenshot):

1. Custom Field Code: TAX_EXEMPT_ID

2. Description: Tax Exempt ID

3. Custom Field Type: Contacts

4. Form Label: Tax Exempt ID

5. Field Type: Simple Text Field

Click Save.

Once this is done, you will see the new custom field on the Custom tab of the contact record.  Any value that you enter in that field will make the customer tax-exempt at checkout.
