Rich Text Editor troubleshooting

The rich text editor component is a third-party plug in called Wysiwyg which is integrated into coreFORCE. For this reason, some of the features (in particular the spell checker) require access to sites besides your coreware domain. Here are a few things to try if it is not working as you expect:

Clear out your browser cache and delete cookies.  In Google Chrome, go to Settings (the three dot icon on the far right side of the address bar line), then Privacy and Security, then Clear Browsing Data. Make sure you check the boxes for "Cookies and other site data" and "cached images and files". You may need to select "All time" in the time range dropdown at the top of the box.

Try running your browser without any extensions to see if something (e.g. an adblocker or security addon) is interfering with the editor.  In Chrome, you can open an Incognito Window by clicking on the three dot icon and clicking "New Incognito Window". If the editor works in an incognito window, try disabling some extensions to see if it makes a difference.

Try accessing the site from a different browser. coreFORCE should be compatible with most current web browsers, but it is primarily tested in Google Chrome.

If possible, try accessing the site from a different computer.  It is possible that anti-virus or other security software could be interfering with the website required by the rich text editor.

Try accessing the site through a different wifi network (e.g. a mobile hotspot from a cell phone, a home network, or public wifi at a coffee shop). It is possible that aggressive firewall rules put in place by an IT administrator could interfere with the rich text editor.
