How to process a Raffle prize pre-payment and purchase in coreSTORE

1. First you are going to have to create a service item. Click on Inventory > Items on the left side navigation menu. Then click the +New button in the upper right corner.

. Next give the new item a name and category. We recommend "Raffle Item Pre-Payment" (or something similar) for the name and something similar to the name for the category.

. In the Items Settings section make sure that "Is Barcoded" and "Is Service" are both checked.

. Save the newly created item

. Now create a new sale and start by adding the customer who is pre-paying for the raffle item(s).

. Then add the Raffle Item Pre-payment (or whatever you set the item name as in step 2.

. Adjust the item price to match the price of the Raffle item. If you have more than 1 raffle item that the same customer is going to pre-pay for repeat steps 6-7 as needed.

. Once the items are added and the prices adjusted click the green continue button.

. Now choose the method of payment and take payment for the pre-paid items.

. Use the comments section to add pertinent information on the raffle items. For example if this is a firearm you can add the make model and serial number.

. Complete the sale.

. On the reciept the comments will show up near the bottom.

ow the winner of the raffle will need to come in and pickup their prize. If the prize is a firearm the winner will still need to do a 4473 and any other required paper work.

When the customer comes in suspend their sale as a 4473 then complete the sale as per your normal workflow, and you are done!
