# coreSTORE - Sales - How to Edit a Sale in coreSTORE

# Modify a Sale
You can modify the most information of a Sale through the **Edit** button on the receipt if you have permission. 

|| If you don’t have permission, contact your manager or administrator for those permissions. 

### Look up the Sale To Modify

|| You can look up the sale you wish to modify through the **Reports** module or through the **Sales** screen. On the sales screen hold CTRL and tap ALT. For this example, we will show you how to look up the sale through the **Reports** module.

1. Click **Reports** on the left side menu:

2. Click **Sales** and then **Detailed Sales Report**. Use the reports options to narrow down the list of sales that will generate on the report:

3. Click the receipt icon on the sale you want to edit:

4. As long as you have permission to edit a sale there will be an **Edit** button at the top of the receipt.

5. You can edit most information on the sale through this page.

6. You can edit the payment, taxes, comments, sales person, sale and payment dates by clicking continue.

7. After making all needed changes click the **Complete Sale** to save the changes to the sale:

8. After making changes and completing the sale, all reports will show the updated information.
