# Here's how the integration works between Smartwaiver and CoreSTORE:

The system never matches based on customer name. It only checks the **driver’s license number** and **email address**.
* SmartWaiver information is sent to coreSTORE.
* First, we attempt to match using the **driver’s license number** (if it was provided to SmartWaiver). The number must match **exactly**. If a match is found, the waiver is simply attached to that customer record.
* If no driver’s license is provided, or no match is found, we then try to match based on the **email address**. If it matches, the waiver is attached in the same way.
* If neither the driver’s license nor the email address matches, a **new customer record** is created using the information from SmartWaiver.
