# coreSTORE - Customers - Creating Subscriptions


This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create subscriptions in coreSTORE. It includes instructions on accessing the subscription feature, configuring the details such as name and description, setting up billing frequencies, and managing customer subscriptions. This process helps businesses automate recurring billing and streamline subscription management.

Subscriptions can only be utilized and tokenized through coreSTORE when using coreCLEAR merchant processing in conjunction with a [Clear 8500](https://coreclear.com/device-8500) or [Clear 6200](https://coreclear.com/device-6200) credit card processing unit. 1. Click on Subscriptions From the Inventory Section

2. Click on  New Subscription

3. Choose a Subscription Name and Category

4. Click on Variations

5. Variations

Instead of offering completely separate subscriptions, a business might choose to have a single subscription with variations. These variations allow customers to personalize their subscription by choosing from different options within the same overall service.

6. Click on Pricing

7. Pricing

On the Pricing tab, you can manage various aspects of your subscription's pricing structure. This includes setting the cost and selling price, determining whether the subscription will be prorated, selecting the billing interval, the startup charge of the subscription, and specifying the weekday when your clients' cards will be charged.
