# coreSTORE- Channels - Publishing an Existing Item to BigCommerce


In this document, we will cover how to publish a product to your BigCommerce site.  
Please note that your connection to BigCommerce must be established in coreSTORE before the channel settings will appear on your items.



1. Click on Items

To add an item to your BigCommerce site, first navigate to the **Inventory** menu and select the **Items** sub-menu.

2. Click on Edit

Next, locate the item you wish to publish to BigCommerce and click **Edit** to make the necessary changes to the product.

3. Click on Channels

Navigate to the **Channels** tab located in the top right corner of your item’s screen.

4. Red BigCommerce Banner

You will notice a red **BigCommerce** banner, indicating that the product is not published on the site. Additionally, there will be no **Ecomm ID** established, confirming that the product has not been published.

5. Assigning BigCommerce Category

Locate the **Select Categories** box. This is an excellent feature in coreSTORE, as it allows you to assign different categories for your website, which may be broader than the categories used in coreSTORE. Additionally, it provides the flexibility to assign multiple BigCommerce categories to a single item.

6. Item Price

The **Item Price** field allows you to set a selling price for your website that is independent of the price in coreSTORE. Keep in mind that there is a setting in the configuration that, when enabled, allows price changes on the website to update this field automatically.

7. Click on Save

Click Save to Finalize your changes.

8. Click on Continue Editing

9. Return to the Item

If you return to your item, you will now see that the **BigCommerce** banner is green, and an **Ecomm ID** has been assigned, indicating the item is published. You can also open the product directly on your website using the link provided!
