Introduction:

In managing your online store, it's essential to have control over the visibility of your products. Certain fixed categories are designed to help you manage product visibility effectively. These categories ensure that products are hidden from the front end of your site, maintaining a clean and updated product listing for your customers. Here are the key categories that serve this purpose:

Discontinued

This category is automatically added when the product is placed into the distributor's discontinued feed. If the distributor added it and removed it right away, the product would be marked with that category. That category does not automatically get removed from products, so if they re-add it to the feed, it will still be discontinued.

Inactive

This category will hide the product from both the front and back end, unless you have "show inactive" marked in your preferences.





Not_Searchable

This category will hide the item from the search results on your website.
