coreFORCE – Products – FFL Required by state tag
In response to the signing of California AB 1263 and SB 704 we wanted to highlight a product tag already in coreFORCE that will help ensure that you can continue to do business with your customers in California, among other states.
Beginning January 1, 2026 all firearm accessories defined as “evil features” for “assault weapons” including flash hiders, forward grips, pistol grips, thumbhole stocks, extendable stock, etc.
A list of the “evil features” can be found under CA PC 30515.
When selling these items on or after January 1 2026 adding the tag FFL_REQUIRED_CA to products that fall into that category will prompt, during checkout, any customer with a California address, to choose an FFL for shipment.
You can either add the tag individual items or you can add them en mass.
Individual
- Go to Products Maintenance (Products > Products for coreFORCE Basic and Standard, Products > Products > Products for coreFORCE Advanced and Enterprise)
- Search for the product that needs the new tag and click on it to edit the product.
- Click on the Categories tab.
- Add the FFL_REQUIRED_XX where XX indicates the state that the FFL is required. (CA, IL, CT, MA, NJ, NY)
- Click the save button.
Mass update
- Go to Products Maintenance
- Filter down the list of products to an accessory that you want to tag.
- Click the Actions button in the upper right corner and choose the Select All function.
- Once you confirm that the number of products that have been filtered down match the number of selected products, click the Actions button again and click Tag Selected Products.
- Use the Select Tag pop-up to apply the appropriate tag and, if needed, the start and end date of the tag.
- Click save.
