coreFORCE - Orders: Shipping Charges


The way you set up shipping charges in coreFORCE is really important since it can have a big effect on your store’s finances. Managing these charges well is crucial because it directly affects both your profits and your customers’ buying choices.


By setting fair shipping fees, you can boost your revenue and keep your customers happy. On the other hand, uncompetitive rates might drive customers away. So, it’s essential to pay close attention to configuring shipping charges in coreFORCE to make the most of your financial performance and ensure customer satisfaction.

coreFORCE offers two shipping method choices, Pickup and Standard

Pickup - Store Pickup items will NOT be sent out
Standard - Your typical shipping rate from either your store or distributor's dropshipping

This description will be used for backend organization and identifying any differences between your shipping methods

  1. Minimum Order Amount


Minimum Order Amount is the lowest amount for this shipping charge to be used, if there's no shipping charge covering a range lower than your minimum the cart will NOT be allowed to be shipped

  1. Maximum Order Amount


Maximum Order Amount is the upper limit for your shipping charge, if there's no shipping charge covering above this maximum the cart will NOT be allowed to ship

  1. Minimum Shipping Charge


Minimum Shipping Charge acts as a failsafe to ensure your shipping costs do not ever fall below the specified amount, a minimum charge of $10 will now allow any item to ship below $10 worth of shipping costs

  1. Percentage


Percentage calculates your desired percentage of the cart total to be used as a shipping cost, this will change dynamically with a customer's cart total

  1. Flat Rate


Flat Rate adds a set amount for the very first item in a cart, this will NOT add more charges for any items past the first

  1. Additional Item Charge


Additional Item Charges apply to any item in the cart past the first item, these will accumulate for each individual item infinitely

  1. Maximum charge per item


Maximum charge per item acts as a cap for percentage fees so we can set a 10% shipping charge fee but cap it to $20 so any item $300 or higher will have a maximum of $20 shipping per item.

  1. Sum of charges for each shipping location


Sum of charges for each shipping location will add up all potential shipping charges to give you one accurate rate

  1. Locations


Locations will be where this shipping rate will apply, at least one must be set for the shipping charge to function. coreFORCE Includes the ability to exclude locations with a simple toggle as well

  1. Product Department


coreFORCE Offers the ability to establish rate based shipping, setting a product department will limit shipping to just that one department.

  1. Rates


Rate based shipping will be used to dynamically adjust shipping charges based on item data, this will only work if item data is available, typically for local items only.

  1. Click on Use EasyPost to calculate shipping


Easypost is an alternative method coreFORCE offers an integration with to automatically calculate the best possible shipping cost, this is typically limited to local items only as distributor items do not feed in the necessary data.

An additional flat rate can be specified ON TOP of the calculated easypost values for shipping

A max weight can be specified for easypost calculations, any value above this max weight will instead use the calculated shipping charges above

coreFORCE offers the ability to specify the above shipping configurations on a categorical level, these additions are CUMULATIVE with the above settings, this means $10 for a flat rate overall and a $10 flat rate for a specified category will result in a $20 shipping charge
