coreFORCE - Getting Started: First steps to get started
Let's take a moment to explain what coreFORCE is all about. It's Coreware's E-commerce platform solution designed for selling both local inventory and distributor stock to customers nationwide.
coreFORCE comes packed with a variety of features, including:
Easily fulfilling orders directly from a user-friendly interface—no need to pick up the phone!
Robust taxonomy options to organize your inventory just the way you like it.
Up-to-date distributor data to ensure your prices remain competitive and accurate.
With coreFORCE, managing your E-commerce operations has never been easier!
Congratulations on diving into the exciting world of online E-commerce! We get it—making this leap can feel like skydiving without a parachute. But fear not! We're here to help make your journey as smooth as butter on a hot biscuit, so you can start selling online and watch those sales soar!
Site Defaults
Our journey will start in the Site Defaults, this is where a majority of your backend customization will be housed inside of
Getting Started tab
The Getting Started tab is where we're going to be focused on to get the essentials up and running to get you selling as quickly as possible
Getting Started Readout
Upon first loading into your website and heading to your getting started tab there should be a list of tasks that are essential for site functionality. We're going to start with verifying your email below!
## # Verifying your Email
Click on Amazon Web Services
Shortly after your website gets deployed an email from Amazon Web Services should be hitting the inbox of the email used on your Onboarding form.
Now what's the purpose of this email? Coreware leverages Amazon Web Services to send system emails from coreFORCE to customers on data such as Order Receipts and general correspondence
Click on your verification link below
Click on Congratulations!
You should be met with this congratulations screen if successful!
Please Note: Amazon may request an account to be created this is _NOT</u>_ required to get going on coreFORCE
## # Adding your Distributors
There are 3 levels of coreFORCE utilizing the Basic layout.
coreFORCE Starter - No distributors, you're safe to skip this section!
coreFORCE Basic - Up to 4 distributor connections
coreFORCE Starter - Unlimited Access to all of our current and future distributor integrations
Click on Distributor Credentials
Next we'll get your distributors added in
Click on ADD
Click on Distributor Credential Maintenance
Our Available Distributors
coreFORCE Basic comes equipped with up to 4 distributors and coreFORCE Standard expands this list into all 16 of our available distributors.
We recommend contacting your representative at your chosen distributors requesting your set of FTP Credentials to access and utilize these distributor feeds
## # Connecting coreSTORE
coreSTORE
If you're utilizing coreSTORE as well as coreFORCE coreSTORE will need to be linked, please reference out connecting coreSTORE to coreFORCE guide HERE (need to hyperlink the KB when finalized)
## # Setting your Default Pricing Structure
Click on Pricing
Pricing
Here we're going to setup our default pricing structure. We'll have options for a percentage, calculation type and even setting up our credit card handling fees for sales.
Our Pricing Structure options
Markup - Multiplies the base cost of an item by your percentage
Discount - Divides the base cost of an item by your percentage
Margin- Marginal pricing is a strategy where you set the price of each item to cover the extra cost of making one more of that item. It focuses on how much more it costs to produce an additional unit. This helps businesses decide prices based on what it costs to make more products, aiming for efficiency and adjusting prices as costs change.
## # Getting your Taxes Setup
Click on State Tax Rates
Let's make sure our tax rates are established so our orders are collecting properly for when tax season comes around
Click on ADD
Input your State's 2 digit code
We'll use Massachusetts for this example
Flat Rate
Flat Rate refers to a flat dollar amount versus a % tax rate
Tax Rate
Tax Rate is our percentage tax rate, this WILL vary by state, if you are unsure please check your state's tax rates HERE
Product Category
Product Category can be utilized if your state taxes items such as rifles and shotguns separately from the base tax rate
Product Department
Product Department functions similarly to product category
## # Configuring Shipping Charges
Shipping Charges
We'll need to make sure our shipping charges are configured exactly to our liking please visit our shipping charges guide HERE //Need to link shipping charges guide//
## # Establishing your Merchant Account
Click on Merchant Account
Click on Merchant Account
Check Set up the default Merchant Account
Select your merchant service option from the merchant service dropdown
Our Merchant Service Integrations
coreFORCE offers a variety of Merchant Integrations including our very own coreCLEAR processing platform.

Your Credentials will be provided by your merchant processor
## # Test Transaction
Click on My Website
Click on RIFLES
Click on ADD TO CART
Click on CHECKOUT NOW
Click on START CHECKOUT
Select Store Pickup
Select Delivery
Click on SELECT FFL
If a firearm or any item that requires an FFL was ordered coreFORCE will automatically include an FFL selection window for the customer to easily choose their FFL of choice to have their items shipped to
FFL Selection
coreFORCE's FFL Selection offers geolocation based on the default address of the customer's user account to ensure accurate results for your customers!
Click on NEXT
Payment Method
coreFORCE is able to process all credit cards from Visa, American Express, Discover, and Mastercard.
By Default Cash/Check/eCheck are admin only options and customers will _NOT_ be able to select these options.
Payment Method
We'll utilize the Cash payment method as administrator accounts to process our first sale
Contact Info
Customers will need to fill all out of their information as normal on a payment method to be able to place an order

Click on NEXT

coreFORCE's Checkout comes equipped with a modern reCAPTCHA anti-bot measure to ensure your checkout is safe and secure and minimize the risk of bot orders
Place Order
Click on ADMIN
Now lets go to the backend and make sure our order was placed!
Click on Dashboard
And Voila your order's complete!
Once any order is placed some automatic processes do occur
An email notification gets sent to your store to inform you of an incoming order
An email receipt gets sent out to the customer's email
