coreFORCE - Contacts: Best Practices for Mass Emails
Emailing your customers is a great way push traffic to your website, but there are a few things you can do in order to improve the effectiveness of your campaign.
Recommendation #1
While it is great to drive traffic to your website, too much traffic at one time could actually cause significant slowdowns or even crash your website altogether. An important principle to keep in mind is that if someone does not click on a link to your website within an hour of receiving an email, they are exponentially less likely to ever click on that link. For this reason, we recommend that you send your email campaigns in waves of 20-30,000 every hour.
coreILLA allows you to stagger send emails. Click here to learn more about coreILLA.
Recommendation #2
If you embed the images in the email instead of linking to the website. For example, if you have 6-8 images, every time someone opens the email your website will get hit and this could cause slowdowns.
