Access the checkout settings

coreFORCE Advanced / Enterprise

1. Press SHIFT + SHIFT to open the search bar.
2. Search for Retail Store Checkout Settings.

coreFORCE Basic / Standard

1. Go to Setup > Checkout Settings.

Overview

All versions of coreFORCE share the same checkout settings. The following sections describe each group of settings and how they work.

Features

1. Guest checkout – Allows customers to complete purchases without creating an account.
2. Custom order notes – Lets customers leave a note for you during checkout.
3. Loyalty points – Enables customers to apply their accumulated loyalty points as payment.
4. Show wishlist products – Displays items from the customer’s wishlist in their shopping cart.
5. Force FFL dealer required – Prevents checkout for items requiring an FFL until a dealer is selected.
6. Split payments – Allows customers to use more than one payment method per order.
7. Gift cards – Enables customers to use gift cards as payment.
8. Related products – Displays related products in the shopping cart.

Custom messages and announcements

Custom messages

1. Order summary message – Appears in the order summary section during checkout.
2. Checkout header message – Appears at the top of the checkout flow.
3. Order confirmation message – Appears on the order confirmation page.
4. Promo success message – Appears when a promo code is successfully applied.

Announcements

1. Select + Add announcement to create a new announcement.
2. Enter a message (150 characters or fewer).
3. Choose an icon (optional).
4. Set the duration using one of the following methods:

• Presets – Select a predefined duration.
• Custom hours – Enter a specific number of hours.
• Date range – Define a start and end date and time.

Policies

1. Return policy – Displays in the fulfillment section during the review step.
2. Shipping policy – Displays in the shipping methods section when a customer selects a shipping option.
3. Privacy policy – Displays when a customer signs in, logs in, or checks out as a guest.
4. Terms and conditions – Displays in the terms and conditions modal during checkout.

Branding

Adjust the checkout styling, including colors, fonts, and button styles. The checkout process automatically inherits your site’s existing design settings.

Under the Advanced tab, you can add custom CSS for additional styling. Custom CSS is recommended only for users familiar with CSS code.

Fulfillment and offers

1. Delivery estimates – Create custom delivery messages for each shipping method.
2. Store hours – Define your store’s working days and hours to display during checkout.
