coreFORCE - Catalog: Setup Search Term Synonyms

Using search term synonyms helps users refine their searches more effectively, making it easier to find exactly what they’re looking for and improving their overall experience. For example, this feature can automatically correct terms like ‘rger’ to ‘Ruger,’ ‘rfles’ to ‘rifles,’ and ‘9mm handguns’ to ‘Glock handguns,’ ensuring more accurate search results.

1. Click on Search Term Synonyms

2. Click on ADD

3. Real Search Term

The Real Search Term will be the actual term the customer gets redirected to

4. Domain Name

Domain Name can be utilized if your store is pushed through multiple domains such as a shop or store subdomain as well as a www domain

5. Redirected Search Terms

This field allows for quick importation of search terms in a comma separated value format, these will be added to the redirected terms list below

6. Click on the Plus

7. Type in your redirected terms

These terms are what the customer types in and these will be redirected to search for the real term instead

8. Categories

coreFORCE offers the ability to add categories to the redirected search terms, these will limit the searches into just these categories.

9. Departments

coreFORCE offers the ability to add Departments to the redirected search terms, these will limit the searches into just these Departments.

10. Product Manufacturer

coreFORCE offers the ability to add manufacturers to the redirected search terms, these will limit the searches into just these manufacturers.
