coreFORCE - Catalog: Setting Up MAP Policies
MAP is the Minimum Advertised Price in which a manufacturer dictates any item can be sold at. coreFORCE offers a variety of settings on how to adjust your pricing to stay within a manufacturer's compliances.
Setting up MAP Overall
- Click on Setup > Site Defaults
- Click on MAP
- Select MAP is minimum, but selling price can be more from Default MAP Policy ID
This option will * Never * allow an item to sell below the item's MAP price
- Click on SAVE
- Select Use Manufacturer's Map Policy from Default MAP Policy ID
This option will allow the manufacturer's individual policy to dictate the MAP rules
- Click on SAVE
- Select MAP is always the selling price from Default MAP Policy ID
This policy will * Always * utilize MAP for a product if present.
Note: If NO MAP policy is present the price will default to Base Cost x Markup
- Click on SAVE
Setting up MAP per Manufacturer
- Click on Products
- Click on Products > Manufacturers
- Type the manufacturer you're looking for, in this example we'll use Ruger
- Click on Ruger
- Click on MAP
- Select the desired option from Map Policy

Sale Price shows in cart - The sale price for an item will not show until the item is in the cart. only the List Price will be shown while browsing.
Always sell for MAP Price - No matter what calculations and pricing structures are established MAP will be utilized over any other price, be it higher or lower.
Ignore MAP - MAP is ignored as a field and the Base cost x Pricing structure will dictate the price.
MAP is minimum price - The calculated price will never fall below the transmitted MAP price but it is able to calculate higher
See price in cart - Similar to sale price shows in cart, however there is no price shown on the store tile, only the text "See price in cart"
Strict MAP Policy - Customers will be able to request a custom email quote for an item

- MAP Holidays
MAP Holidays are a range of dates that MAP is ignored, these should typically only be set upon special request from a manufacturer
